MCC Chemical Guidelines

We have tested our products to ensure quality and safety. To ensure you are using the chemicals correctly, please follow the guidelines below:

ONLY use cleaning products that are provided

Chemicals are concentrated and MUST be mixed with water before using

Analyse the dilution ratios on the concentrated chemical bottle before using the products

To measure a perfect ratio, place a thumb over the very bottom of the bottle

ALL chemicals can be used on floors, if appropriate for the specific cleaning task

DON'T add too much chemical to your bucket as this will make surfaces worse over time

Identifying MCC Chemicals

Please remember chemicals are concentrated and must be mixed with water before using. Each bottle is easily identifiable to distinguish between the different chemicals. Analyse the dilution ratios on the concentrated chemical bottle before using the products.

Window Cleaner

Our spray and wipe is ideal for mirrors, glass, and other high-shine surfaces as well as desks and surfaces.

Neutral Detergent

This is best used as the general purpose floor cleaning.

Bathroom Cleaner

Specifically formulated for soap scum, water staining, and general bathroom use. This product is designed to eliminate odours.

Degreaser (T&G Cleaner LF)

Perfect for tackling food oil, grease, and most organic materials.

Shower Cleaner

This product is utilised for deep cleaning of bathroom areas when bathroom cleaner is not up to the task.

Keeping things safe and secure is key—for you, for us, and for our clients. There's a lot to think about when it comes to site security.

Alarming the site

ALWAYS ensure you set alarms
CAREFULLY READ the alarm panel when deactivating it
REMAIN CALM and avoid rushing as this can lead to mistakes
Your supervisor will discuss and demonstrate the process of setting an alarm

Locking the site

ALWAYS lock the site
ALWAYS keep keys in a designated safe location
Keys are tagged with a unique code that has a matching scope of works on the Portal
ALWAYS use the same door coming in and out of the property

Effective cleaning relies on time management, organisation, and well-maintained equipment. Without these principles, cleaning performance will be poor.

Equipment & Operations

Equipment Policy

Do not bring personal cleaning equipment or tools to work, and avoid using client-owned items. Our equipment has been tested for quality and safety. Please read our equipment guidelines below.

Mops & Buckets

Wash mop heads separately as lint will transfer to the cloths and ruin their performance. If needed, use a clothes dryer to remove lint

Don't tumble dry mop heads as this can cause damage and tangling

Always rinse out your mop bucket between uses to remove any grit at the bottom. This prevents dirt from transferring to the mop head and floors

Dip the mop into the cleaning solution, then thoroughly wring out the excess water until the mop is damp to avoid poor results like water streaks or pooling; clean the floor with overlapping strokes for an even, effective clean.

Cloths & Rags

Wash cloths separately as lint will transfer to the cloths and ruin their performance. If needed, use a clothes dryer to remove lint

Fold rags into quarters and flip them over as you wipe. This technique reduces washing and speeds up cleaning times

Vacuum Operation

Replace disposable vacuum bags as needed

Properly operate the suction valve

Adjust and secure all harness buckles

Maintain an upright posture during vacuuming

Regularly tap clean the cloth bag and white mesh filter

Tuck the dicky knee duster into vacuum straps for quick dust removal

Vacuum Guidelines

Vacuums MUST NOT be used to suck up water

AVOID wrapping cords around arms to reel up the cord, this will cause damage; inspect cords before use and replace immediately if damaged

To unclog a vacuum, unscrew the tube from the clear top while the machine is running, and reverse the flow to remove debris

Battery Life

High power mode: For heavily soiled floors and carpets.
Low power mode: For lightly soiled and well-maintained hard floors.

Wet Floor Sign

Place signs strategically in main walkways, ensuring visibility from all entrances.

Bin Liners

Use the smaller bin liners whenever possible to reduce waste (75-liter and 36-liter provided) and secure them neatly

The purpose of feedback is to ensure we are meeting the clients expectations. Unfortunately in the cleaning industry "Low quality of work" is the leading reason clients look elsewhere. It is our greatest risk as a business and that's why resolving quality issues is important to MCC.

The team takes photos and makes notes of any areas requiring some additional attention

Because they cannot guarantee anyone has used the site since the last clean, sometimes they will take photos of areas you have already cleaned

The first thing to do when you receive feedback is remember this is not a finger pointing exercise. It's intended to be a useful tool in ensuring the quality of our sites. Feedback is a very normal part of our process and every cleaner on the team will receive feedback regardless of which site they're at

Take up to 10 photos of your work.

Navigate to the Quality Feedback Form. Once the details are all entered, remember to attach your images.
